Maqam Productions Organised the first Sufi Festival in amman during the holy month of Ramadan in May and June 2019. Maqam Prod. Invited 6 bands who performed 2 concerts each in Amman and in other Jordanian and well-known cities like Zarqa, karak, Maan, Irbid too.
Maqam booked bands like Ensemble Ibn Arabi from Morocco, Cheikh Amer Al Touni and Mohamad Tareq from Egypt, Caroline Madi from Jordan, and Ayman Tayseer from Jordan The festival was a total success and will be repeated in Ramadan 2020.
The Chameleon Orchestra celebrates World Music in perhaps its most open and vivid form. The flexible orchestral ensemble consists of versatile musicians shaped by a variety of different musical and cultural backgrounds. The Orchestra is led by Christian Wirth.
Joining the band for the concert will be Syrian composer and violinist Maias Alyamani as well as Jordanian singer and song writer Macadi Nahhas.
The concert was a real success where almost 700 seats where filled at the AUS auditorium an where classical and oriental vibes where fused in brilliance.
Maqam as the producer and organiser of the concert and of course in collaboration with the AUS that believed in this projects amongst many other projects with Maqam.

For the first time in Lebanon, Maqam Productions presents the Electro Arabic Dabke (Shamstep) band formed in Amman Jordan in 2013. 47SOUL blasts the electric Arabic debka sound through underground music scenes. Join us and experience 47SOUL hypes their music up with analog synthesizers, hypnotic guitar lines, and shattering verses from the four singrs.
The puppet art residency at Sharja 2016 was a project developed by Maqam Productionsin the city of Sharjah. A space of encounter, skills development, knowledge sharing and entertainment for workshops' participants (15+) and spectators from across United Arab Emirates. The residency concept was to equip participants with the craft of puppetry tools, they can use them in their contexts and produce a final performance plays around a theme related to UAE tradition and culture.
The residency had two phases in parallel:
Workshops: many aspects of puppet theatre are covered theoretical and practical:
History and form, hand puppet making, marionette, shadow theatre techniques, giant puppets, object theatre, manipulation techniques, lighting and sound effects, storytelling techniques, acting and script creation.
Each workshop was concluded, by short presentation that shared the result of the workshop and each presentation was open for the public.
Final Performance: It was developed by participants and by Maqam creative team. The process of finding a theme for the final performance started in advanced before the residency started through gathering materials process: songs, dance, folk stories, rituals and children games related to the traditions and rituals of UAE. The team spend a period of 6 weeks in the Heart of Sharjah gathering all the info and materials needed.
The project was funded by Maraya and Shurooq (the official developer of the emirate of Sharjah) and under the direct and personal patronage of her highness Cheikha Budur Bint Sultan Al Qasimi.
Sour was a project which was organised and created by maqam productions and in partnership with a Belgium cultural organisation called Taxi orient.
this Project was made to create a unique and fused sound between a western and an estern style of Music. Macadi nahhas of Jordan composed and wrote songs which were iintereprested by the very famous folk Flemish and Belgium band Ola Vugala. The iinterpratation was sublime and interesting to the ear. A charity auction titled “ Artists for The Kids of Syria” took place on June 6th 2015 organized by Fann-À-Porter art gallery and sponsored by Maqam Productions The event was a Gala Dinner auction styled event, initiated by the prominent Emirati Artist Fatma A. Lootah in collaboration with Artforumuae represented by its founder “ Mr Peter Gressman”.
The event consisted of auctions for pieces of art donated by various artists from all over the world.
a project by United Nations Women. The Project consists of the Production of a song and a documentary involving 25 well known artists from the Arab region to promote the Global Women rights and Women empowerment. Artists include Charbel Rouhana, Macadi Nahhas, Rasha Rizk, Abir Nehme, Farida Mohamad Ali, Reem Talhamy, Hoda Abdallah, Oum, Ines Belouiny, Aroub Soboh, and Mike Massy. The Project was launched early 8 March 2014 in Cairo Opera house and will be launched at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Macadi Nahhas, a prolific Jordanian Folk and Jazz singer produced in 2010 a family album where many Arab virtues and messages were presented to kids through an interactive colourful album. The album received excellent reviews and critics and a theatrical play was made by maqam which was transformed into a Muppet show. The show was sponsored by Jordanian Telecom Mogul Zain for three shows which will be presented end of August 2013 in front of thousands of kids in three different malls in Amman. The Show will roam the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan to under privileged villages and will involve rural and other municipalities.
NOUR (Macadi Nahhas's new record) is a subtle mix of styles ranging from Classical oriental to jazz passing by Latin styles like Bossa Nova and Tango. The mix will however rely heavily on Arabic maqamat and melodic structures. Rhythmically the palette is wide but what is important to producer company Maqam is not to lose the feel that defines us as a region. With Macadi's beautiful, rich and melodic control and imagination combined with Maqam’s vision and approach; an enchanting experience promising a new fresh sound for the acclaimed singer, is on the horizon. Macadi’s fifth album will embark a new era in her career where she composes and even arranges most of the songs in the album. Stay tuned for an enchanting and exhilarating Album which will re-define Macadi again on the artistic and cultural scene in the Arab scene and internationally too.
